The "Promotions" section of the Event Dashboard is where you can create unique discount codes for artists, Friends and Family, or whatever situation you deem fit.
1. Hover over "Interact" in the Restless Nites Ticketing Dashboard and click on "Promotions".
2. Select a Promotion Description, "Friends & Family Discount", for example. This description will only be viewable by you and your team on the Ticketing Dashboard.
3. Select the ticket tier(s) you would like to apply this promotion to, the type of Pricing Adjustment (Fixed Discount, Percentage Discount ... etc), and the quantity of tickets this can be applied to until it expires (optional).
Fixed Discount: A fixed amount reduction from the face value of any selected tier. Ex: $5 off Early Bird, $5 off General Admission, etc...
Fixed Price: A fixed amount, regardless of the ticket tier. Ex: $10 for Early Bird or GA, etc
Percentage Discount: A percentage reduction from the face vale of any selected tier. Ex: 20% off Early Bird, GA, etc...
No Discount: This is used when setting up a promo code to access a hidden tier, which would already be discounted or complimentary, and set up within the Ticketing Dashboard prior.
4. Click "Add Ticket"
5. Select a start and end date for the promotion (optional)
6. Enter your desired discount code. Keep this short and memorable so you can pass it along for people to type in during check out.
7. Click "Create"
Now ticket buyers can enter the generated code before purchasing and receive your desired discount.
You can also hover over the chain link icon next to your code to copy a shareable link. This link will automatically apply the associated promo code on your event page so your ticket buyers don't have to type anything in.
